However having its main functions to be similar to a search engine, you could never go wrong on how to use it for your own research and benefits. If you know how to use Google or Yahoo to search, this should be a walk in the park for you. A "how-to" user manual could be of great help here as well, including techniques on how users can maximize their search results.
